The spiral or Koru reflects the silver fern which has no beginning or end and symbolises growth, evolution, unfolding of new thoughts, ideas or opportunities. It also represents tranquility, peace, strength and spirituality.
This piece is slightly polished on one side only, this is the side which is normally stamped.
